And why his candidacy is doomed to fail:
[O]nly 43% of Republicans realize that Rudy is pro-choice, and 15% think the pro-choicer in their midst is somebody else. Also noteworthy: This lack of awareness seems to be evenly spread across ideological bents, between conservative and moderate Republicans.
Kleefeld, who wrote the referenced post, also mentions that "[o]nly 43% of Republican voters say abortion will be very important to their voting decisions" (emphasis in original). This, Kleefeld says, might explain Giuliani's current popularity and should give him hope down the road.

To which I can only ask: which segment of the GOP shows up on primary day?
